| Comment | Each of these two discs includes each song from John Wesley Harding which Dylan has performed live, presented in the same order in which they appear on the original LP. Dylan has never performed ?John Wesley Harding? or ?I Am A Lonesome Hobo? live, and those songs therefore are missing from these compilations. The ?bonus tracks? are all songs which were first recorded in the ?Basement Tapes? sessions at Big Pink in West Saugerties, New York, between June and October, 1967. They therefore represent work from the same period. John Wesley Harding was recorded in Nashville in October and November, 1967, and released on December 27, 1967.
Dylan has performed ?As I Went Out One Morning,? only once, in Toronto 1974. The quality of that recording is inferior to that of the other songs. This is a collaborative project by Philip Martin, Ronald Zavala, and Jesse Jones. Disc one was compiled by Jesse Jones and remastered by TheOldToaD. The track changeovers were remixed by Ronald Zavala. Disc two was compiled and remastered by Ronald Zavala, who also remixed the track changeovers. The artwork was created by TheOldToaD, who also encoded the set to SHN. Released January 2004 |
