Note | A motherfuck of a Tool-only, midsummer '98 show captured here. Journey through Third Eye. Listen to the plaintive bass melody reverberate through the ampitheatre before and during the "so good to see you" verse. Eat up Adam's solo, twisting violently into "in ... out": the very fucking definition of psychdelic noise rock. Maynard is into it, puppet-flailing to every song with abandon.
The video is clear, from the master, and captures the facial expressions of all in the band, especially MJ and Danny. The sound is not the greatest and brickwalls when the bass drum hits, a result of the filmers' position I believe. But you can hear all instruments and the groove is solid all the way through. |
