Set 2 | Comments: My first meeting with the Samfundet audience was a shock. Only at Kvarteret in Bergen have I met such an imbecile audience before. The level of drunkenness, talking and annoying people is yet to be understood. Did all these people well below par in mental acumen really pay NOK 170 to hear the band? People were crowdsurfing during When You're Dead, for heaven's sake!...
Although a radio broadcast, this recording was probably made with a couple of microphones and a dat recorder. It does not sound like a soundboard job. The noisy crowd is well documented, and the general sound seems somewhat compressed, making the whole experience quite an unpleasent listen compared to what one usually expects from a broadcast. Highlights: Go To California is very hard rocking and noisy, very cool! Song For A Bro' also contains some nice jams. She Used To Be A Twin has a very noisy jam as well, no other version has this kind of mayhem in the end. |
