Tech NotePhish 11/02/1998 E Centre West Valley City, UT **This source has been reformatted to fit all of set I onto disc 1 (see notes below)** Source: B&K 4011s > Audio Magic Sorcerer Cables > Lunatec V2 > Apogee AD1000.DAT at 48khz > Event Gina S/PDIF digital I/O > Cool Edit Pro (48 > 44.1) high quality setting No normalization was done. Reformatting: SHN > WAV > Adobe Audition v1.0 > CDWav > SHN Tool > SHN There was only room for about a 10% increase without clipping; you could probably go up to 150% or so if you clip the peaks. I figured for this show, since the levels were pretty good, I'd leave it alone and let everyone have an unadulterated source. Encoded to MP3 (Audio Active Pro Encoder) and RA (Real Audio 3.0) formats by MikeW (mikewren@usa.net) Disc 1: [set I] 01. Tube > 02. Drowned 03. Jesus Left Chicago 04. "Dead Goat Saloon" story 05. Driver* 06. Bittersweet Motel** 07. Limb by Limb 08. Wading in the Velvet Sea 09. Sample In A Jar Disc 2: [set II] 01. crowd noise 02. Down with Disease 03. Mango Song 04. Moma Dance 05. You Enjoy Myself Disc 3: [set II cont. & encore] 01. crowd noise 02. Harpua > 03. Speak to Me > Breathe 04. On the Run 05. Time 06. The Great Gig in the Sky 07. Money 08. Us and Them 09. Any Colour You Like 10. Brain Damage 11. Eclipse 12. Harpua 13. crowd noise 14. Smells Like Teen Spirit# * Acoustic; dedicated to Wendy and Lisa, two women whom Trey and Mike met the night before. ** Acoustic; with a "Freebird ending", similar to the 07-20-98 Poor Heart Trey dedicated it to the people at the Dead Goat Saloon, and talked about getting free drinks and karoake. He also discussed the band picturing what it would be like if the entire audience were on stage with them, with no one in the audience. So they played it with this image in mind. # First time played (Nirvana cover) Note: Severe static at 7:13-7:14 on d2t04 ***************************************************************** 05/29/2004 [Jason Bellino - jbellino@mail.usf.edu] The source I began with contained overlapping portions of music in t08d1 and t01d2. I spliced these two tracks together at a convenient zero-crossing and discarded [5:52.562 - end] of t08d1 and [beginning - 00:02.208] of t01d2. This was done with Adobe Audition v1.0. The resultant was then tracked out with CDWav and the new wavs were checked with SHN Tool (only track 9 needed a SBE fix - results listed below). New checksums were made for the two tracks and the original MD5 reflects all changes made to discs 1 and 2 - Disc 3 remains untouched. ************** SHN Tool ouput ph98-11-02d1t09.wav --> ph98-11-02d1t09-fixed.wav ... done. Padded 'ph98-11-02d1t09-fixed.wav' with 1084 zero-bytes.
