Comment | After the stereo remixing of Let It Be on Sunday January 4, 1970 Glyn Johns collected all the Get Back tapes ready for a further compiling attempt at Olympic Studios, Barnes the following day, Monday January 5, 1970. This 44 minute compilation from that session deleted Teddy Boy and added "I Me Mine" from the Saturday January 3, 1970 final session. It also added Across The Universe as both these songs were to be included in the film, and Teddy Boy was now a solo inclusion for Paul's first LP. Johns used Take 8 of Across The Universe from Sunday February 4, 1968. He added seconds of spoken preamble, in keeping with the feel of the rest of the LP. "I Me Mine" was remix 1 from Take 16 recorded in Studio 2, two days previously. It was kept at its true length of 1:34 and included the banter between George and Ringo. |
