Note | This is a jam with Jerry Garcia w/ various other members of New Riders of the Purple Sage. From Doo Dah trees. Lot of noodling but some of it is very good. Everything was plugged straight into the open reel deck. Date of this jam is likely 12/8/71, 12/9/71 or 12/10/71. Players likely include Garcia, Weir, Buddy Cage, John Dawson. There could also be Dave Nelson & Dave Torbert. |

Comment | New Riders of the Purple Sage with Jerry Garcia, Buddy Cage and Bob Weir. Scotty's Music Store is a famous pedal steel guitar shop in St. Louis. This was an afternoon jam session in the store that preceeded the Dead's show later in the evening at the Fox Theatre. This show was previously listed as 12-7-1971 but this date is incorrect as the Dead were in New York City at the time.
