Tech Note | Notes: (1) Garcia & Grisman duet The taper did a nice job of fading the levels down at the end of each song, allowing nice high levels on the music without painful distortion during the applause. This makes this recording unusual among the Garcia/Grisman recordings that I have heard. Another version of this master also circulates on CD, which seems to have had some digital processing applied and which lacks the encore. Flaws: d1t01 Jack-a-Roe fades in, very little missing d1t08 very light pop during tuning just before So What d2t10 Drink Up & Go Home considerable overload distortion |
