NoteNo pre-show, the recording fades in just as the band starts Part of Me. It’s a nice stereo recording with good separation and a full sound. There is some high end distortion though. And there’s a guy to the right of taper who won’t shut up, which comes through nicely in the right channel. Maynard is mixed too far back and it’s hard to hear him the first few songs, but this situation improves. Toward the end of Part of Me, you hear a strange guitar sound in the background. And the second the song ends, it becomes clear what it is: Stinkfist being played over the PA (or through their monitors). A guitar tech’s version of a practical joke to get back at the band (read: Maynard) for the endless amount of shit he likely takes. The ribbing continues throughout the set: a crash of screeching feedback just before the first verse in Stinkfist, and an awful sounding harmonizer is flipped onto Adam’s guitar at the beginning of Crawl Away.

The performance is a little loose tonight, partially thanks to the guitar tech. There’s an interesting twist to the set. The rarely played Bottom is put behind the extended Pushit. This works very well, Bottom an aggressive counterpart to a cerebral Pushit. For sure, they should have rotated this setlist combination in more often.

6:30 into the song, dipshit next to the taper finally realizes it’s Pushit and exclaims his epiphany for the world to hear. Whooo boy. Golden stars for you.

There are a few track transition and digi-flaws common to all known circulating copies.
