Again, they were firing on all cylinders. Just great stuff throughout. CTTE all through Tales. Somehow the encore didn't get recorded, but this doesn't detract from the show. The recording is quite good actually. The ever-present, Tales-recording tape hiss is really the only thing detracting. But the music comes through so clearly, you won't notice after awhile. What really struck me about this show is how quickly the New York crowd settled and quieted down, especially during the Tales portion. They really seemed willing to just listen and feel the music instead of jabber. |
