Note | I run out of adjectives to describe these Lolla shows. I love them. Tool were so inspired on this tour.
I so wish more of them were taped, and of equal imortance: taped well. The sound quality are just lacking on these shows. Not bad at all, but there was not one really Good recording to come out that tour. This one's solid. One of the best to come from the tour. The usual echoey, wavey, Ampitheatre ambience that you've either grown to love or hate with these Lolla shows. I personally like it. Case and Point: "Crawl Away." The Lolla Ampitheatre brought this song to new heights. The performances of this song on this tour were indescribable. In the moments after the climactic yells (after the waves of MJ's bellows had settled), I would take a peek around the audience, and even the non-Tool fans were clearly affected, clearly moved. |
