Note | The last stop on the '97 Lolla tour, and Tool plays an extra long set tonight it seems.
Eulogy, Pushit, and No Quarter all featured. Pushit tonight borders on the magic. It may not have the intricate technicality that made the versions in the '01 tour, but it still had that innocent drive & passion. No Quarter, dedicated to all of the bands on the bill, starts off shaky (and Adam's guitar tone is just a little harsh throughout), but tightens up into a retro-monster. This recording has always confused me a bit. It sounds like there is some ANA lineage in there (hiss). But the recording levels were also just low, and the taper was likely in the back of the ampitheatre. It's not very good for a D8. |
