NoteOk first of all, this simply an excellent sounding cassette recording. One of the better I've heard. Duncan cannot be thanked enough for recording these four shows. Possibly the 4 most interesting shows in the bands history. Certainly the most unique.
Lots of firsts here, which I'll get to ...

Sober is pure Tool magic. Dead-on focused power. Even though this is performed at nearly every Tool show, and is likely their second most popular song, more than every once in a while this can come along and steal the show. Stranglehold and Demon Cleaner covers are played for the first time live following this. Alternate, extended Pushit attempted for the first time too, complete with Aloke on tabla. It's shaky and hesitant, but great.

And hey, Danny fucks up for once maybe even twice. He attempts his tom-roll transition back into the final verse of Jimmy too soon, and ends up stopping completely for about 5 seconds to pick it back up. The rest of the band is dead-on though and carries it through.

Also, what the fuck happened at the end of Third Eye? Classic trainwreck. It sounds like Danny was thinking they were going to cut the "Prying open's ..." off a cycle early, went ahead with the early ending, heard MJ continuiing, lost his place in the 3 - 4 polyrhythm, and improv'd with some funky fills to the end. Something you'll never hear again.
