Note | Just an excellent summer '98 headline show that just recently surfaced (what took it so long?). One of the best from the summer tour. Tool plays Red Rocks for the first time and brings it.
Eulogy, alt. Salival Pushit, and No Quarter will all blow you away. The crowd was a bit obnoxious that night however. They booed the opening Melvins off the stage, throwing plastic bottles at them in the process. Grunting meat-brains ("Fuck Yeah!!") and two WAYYY too giddy pre-pub girls ("WHOOO Maynard") can be obnoxiously heard throughout the recording. But, no matter, the performance and the DAT recording are excellent. Thoroughly recommended. A technical note: The show was not track-mastered smoothly. There are small ticks in the track transitions common to the master. |
