| Note | Sort of schizo performance here. They start out the first 1/3 of the show jacked-up on adrenaline (particularly The Grudge), and the songs suffer a bit from their tempo overanxiety as a result. However, they harness the energy for Pushit and give it one of the most unique readings I've heard in the tour. Danny is pushing it hard the whole way, Adam is improv'ing (even) a bit, MJ and Justin are just hanging on, and the climaxes in the middle (instrumental) and end (MJ bellow) are really dynamic stuff.
BUT if you don't listen to this show for anything, listen to: Parabol. It is probably the most languished and accurate reading of the tour. Amazing stuff. I really thought they were just showing the video until half way into the song, it's that good. |
