| Note | This is the first of Armen's recordings I sat down and listened to when his masters arrived. Very good job he did here. Excellent band isolation throughout and a rich CSB sound. The only slight drawback is some slight muddiness in the sound/lack of instrument separation. But this is really just common to Tool's sound at many shows, so I think it's hard -not- to tape that.
But good god, what a show. This is one of the Top Lateralus tour performances. Again, they were taping these last 6 shows, so Tool was stepping it up a few notches. This and the next night's Third Eye are some of most electric 30 minutes of music ever captured. You will need to hear this. |
