NoteA bit of variation in setlist here in San Diego for the 3rd of their pro-recorded shows. It appears they wanted to fire most of their arsenal at the recorders, and pick from the best of it. Tonight we get 46&2 and Opiate.
Must-have stuff throughout, though MJ's voice is not as on as it would be for the final 2 gigs (or the previous two, really). But I think this maybe the best performance of Parabol-Parabola of the tour. They are clicking and grooving throughout, and Danny's improv's at the end are enormously powerful.

The recording is warm, with just the right amount of venue ambience. The perfect combonation: CSC > M1.
This one is really sensitive to the crowd's cheering swells and mass-singalongs, perfectly blended in the background, with not too many foreground idiots. You can really -feel- the crowd anxious in anticipatory cheer leading to a song climax, or letting out a mass sigh and roar after the power of The Grudge or Parabola.

As an interesting companion to this show, scroll down to the 23 Nov 02 entry and read Kat's (friend of the band, and one of the web-writers on Toolband.com) long & glowing review of this show: http://www.toolband.com/news/main.php?showNews=past

Tech Note:

Brief static present at the very beginning of the first song on Disc 1 & 2. Presumably present on master, as these shns are sourced from the master.
