I believe this came from Teddy Goodbear, but the exact source is unknown (from abgd). The video is decent, but it gets washed out in some spots. The original soundtrack for this source was horrible. The VHS tape I had (Primary Source) had several dropouts during Truckin and cuts off near the beginning of Wharf Rat. I found it much simpler to patch the whole track rather than attempt to splice it together. Audio Source(s): Bertha Remaster of Master Reel source. SBD>>MR>>PCM>>DAT>>CDA(Toast)>>SHN>>DAW(Bertha)>>CDA/SHN resynched with video using a vast array of audio tools mostly SoundForge 6 and Cool Edit Pro 2.0. Patches to the soundtrack are noted below.. In a few spots between songs during set 1, the Audio was patched (with crossfades where possible) from the primary video source's soundtrack. This was done where the sdbd tape did not have the material that the video had. I have no video of Minglewood. It was omitted. Drums was cut on the video, There is more of the sdbd, but I left that audio out, so most of the Drums is missing. I crossfaded the audio into the beginning of Truckin so it's a pretty seamless transition. There are two audio 'dropouts' during Eyes. One long one (almost 30 seconds) and a second shorter dropout. Believe it or not NO AUDIO is missing. I had to create the artificial dropouts to maintain audio synch. The primary video source had several problems during these 'dropouts'. I patched the very end of Wharf Rat through the first few seconds of Around and Around that were missing from the 2nd video source's soundtrack. This should give an idea of what I was working with. The video cuts during Around and Around, I let the Audio continue until the song is over. The US Blues Encore is missing. Notes: In a few spots there is some minor loss of synch (only noticeable if you watch very closely). This was due to some tape warble in the primary source's audio which made a precise resynch impossible without severely affecting the resynched audio track. Also, the soundtrack for the secondary video source was so poor that I wound up resynching the video by eye as any precise editing of that soundtrack was nearly impossible. I spent almost three months on this project, so what you're getting is my best crack at this. It's the best sounding most complete version available. Credits: Video Supplier: Bryan T. Video Capture/Editing and Synching: Skankweed Cutting of d1 source MPEG, md5 checksum, text revision, and seeding to FurthurNet: MattMan Please note that Skankweed did all the hard work! MattMan cut the original 749MB d1 MPEG into two files (Disc 1 and Disc 2) using the cut tool in TMPGEnc Plus. This tool does not re-encode, but rather makes an identical copy with user-defined start and stop frames. The cut was made to accomodate MPEG data archival on 700MB discs. Peace. November 20003.
