At 'Pigs On The Wing' a fire cracker goes off (and not for the first time) which makes Roger so angry that he stops playing and tries to put an end to it by speaking the famous words: 'Oh for fuck sake [...] I'm trying to sing a song'. Later on in the show, Roger alledgely spat a fan in the face ("Who was told not to spit on the fans" :-).) David Gilmour apperently wasn't too pleased with this performance but he surely was wrong. The show was awesome. One (if not THE) best versions of Pigs. Steaming and powerful. Roger can clearly be heard shouting the numbers (90 and 61) Not just for the events that took place, but also from a musical point of view, this show is highly recommended. Sound is very good and clear. I had my doubts but it only just didn't match the EX- rating, but it's definitely VG+. The extra encore 'blues' (or here called 'drif away blues' can be found at the end of part 3 of the Azimuth coordinator. This is part 2 of 3 of the already famous 6 CD set 'The Azimuth Coordinator' now also released as 3 double-CD's (But without the book, of course). -ANDRE One of the few RoIOs which I _really_ like. Although recording quality is not top notch, it is still very much listenable. Hissing is present but not annoying. The performance is incredible, IMHO the best of the 77-tour. P3DO is clearly the best one I know, same for SOYCD6-9 (heck, it is twenty-four minutes long!) You should listen to the crowd. Although sometimes in a state which makes the "concert experience" perfect, they get loud up to the point to annoying on the last two songs. -HERWIG The crowd certainly was in an evil mood that night, you can tell by listening to this record. Nevertheless, it makes for a showcase of Floyd at the height of its power (save some of the vocals, as usual). There is some remarkable, moody intensity saturating the event. Much has been said about the show, climaxing with the final, feverish rendition of Shine On You Crazy Diamond parts 6-9. I would only like to mention David Gilmour, who for me reaches his crowning event in the midst of the maelstrom of this concert. Just listen for yourselves. The pre-Comfortably Numb Gilmour's finest hour. -ANON En Chair Et En Os, no info on it http://www.pf-roio.de/roio/roio-cd/en_chair_os.cd.html Fire Works Show In The Canadian Walls http://www.pf-roio.de/roio/roio-cd/fireworks_show_canada.cd.html Quality: Ex Comments: Alternative title "Montrewall"? This in my opinion is the best 77 show recording. All instruments are more equally leveled then on the Oakland show that has too much bass. The performance is much better than the Oakland or Fort Worth shows. Roger complains at the audience during pigs on the wing Pt. 2 and the famous taunting the audience member during the best version of pigs I have heard. even though this is a hard to find disc I would recommend searching for it because it is more enjoyable than any other 77 recordings out there. -LEE
