NoteAll notes from www.dylantree.com:
This is a great sounding soundboard recording of an average '98 show. At times the levels run a little high but in general the sound is superb. My friend Dino hits the nail on the head about the performance...(taken from Dylanbase.com)
"This is an excellent soundboard recording of a strong, late-'98 show. The vocals are strong, but not swaggering; nowehere do we get either the aching tenderness of the spring 2000 shows or the "sacred cracked voice" of the August '97 tour. It's very much middle-of-the-road Bob Dylan. Which is not necessarily a bad thing; just imagine what happens when you take the TOOM aesthetic and try to fit something like To Ramona into it. Interesting, unoffensive, but hardly something that will cause you to re-examine the songs or develop a deeper understanding of them (like listening to Karajan's high-gloss Beethoven recordings). But all-around, a very enjoyable disc."
This is the show from the boot "Eating caviar in a king -sized bed" minus the filler from San Jose '98

" This show was not recorded from a 32 track soundboard. It was recorded off the soundboard surreptitiously by a employee of the Target Center. It was recorded with a Sony D-8 DAT machine plugged into the board. The guy could not stay by the deck and set the recording levels so that is why the levels are kind of high in some spots. Other wise this is a fine recording. And yes this is the honest truth. " - Stephen Pickett, www.salvaj.com/steve/bootlegs/
