NoteYou know what you're getting when it comes to Cocker, but since this recording sounds rather decent for its age, you should grab this to hear one of rock's most underrated yet passionate performers. Sure, he never really wrote anything and lived off of other songwriter's tunes, but once Joe wrapped his gin-soaked chords around a song, it was forever his. And since this show is from '70, you don't have to deal with any of his 80s fluff.(Speaking of which, we really didn't need to see Joe in videos doing anything other than performing from a stage. Why, oh why, was he often cast as a love-torn Romeo or a broken-hearted fool? Don't act, Joe, just sing and swirl you body back and forth like your big toe is on a exposed wire in a rain storm.)
