Note | Not Fade Away (d2t7) some music lost at start... There are splices in Sugaree (5:14) and Morning Dew (5:47) Pigpens' last singing show. The Truckin and Morning Dew are benchmarks! The Jam coming out of The Other One and into Morning Dew is downright spooky. Pure improvisaton throughout the 2nd set. Beautiful!
This song is highly praised (Tapers Compendium) as being THE ONE. The one night when everything converged perfectly to produce some of the finest four hours of music the Dead ever assembled on stage. Final show of a 4-night stand at the Strand Lyceum as well as the final show of the legendary Europe '72 Tour |
