Note | Uri and I and Shimon drove to Lake Placid for this concert. It was the first time I had seen Phish in two years and I was not impressed. Shimon actually fell asleep during the concert, snoring sprawled on the seat! I stood there, trying to work up the kind of enthusiasm I used to have for Phish. But as one unexciting song followed another without any build-up in intensity (Down With Disease is the one exception), I kept wishing for the "old" Phish of 1990-1992. This would be the last time I saw Phish until Big Cypress NYE 1999. At the time, I just couldn't be bothered with them anymore. Listening back now 10 years later, it's a good listenable concert worth having, but it lacks the intensity of a really good synergistic show. Kind of like a pleasant Sunday drive as opposed to a rock-em sock-em stock car race. TICKET IMAGE AVAILABLE. |
