Hanno's version had an untracked fade at the end of Mississippi Half-Step, and an untracked fade into Estimated Prophet. Rejoining these would simply result in music>fade-out>overlapping fade-in>Estimated. (and there were sector boundary issues in any case). This means that I retracked Mississippi Half-Step, and shntool-corrected all subsequent tracks. This is an issue of retracking, not of altered audio. The way I've done it, there are *separate* fade tracks for the end of disc #1, and the start of disc #2. To rejoin to longer media, simply omit these fade tracks. It is a matter of personal choice where to place the encore. I had to remove a couple of seconds silence from the start of the encore in order to fit it onto the end of my (79 min & 57 sec) "80" minute CDs; I have provided cue- sheets that will facilitate placing the encore at the end of disc #1 (2-CD version), or on a separate 3rd disc (3-CD version). alimac@netcomuk.co.uk 30th October 2002 |
