% - My DA-P1 had not arrived back from Pro Digital yet, so I used a borrowed
SonyTCD-D8. Though I've used one before, I was not completely comfortable
with it.I didn't realize that the headphone amp distorts as much as it did,
so I kept thinkingthere was something wrong with either my Lunatec or the
ADC-20, so I kept fiddling with levels. I have done my best to clean those
up, but in the interests of non-disclosure, there is a little bit of digital
amplification on some tracks. If youhaven't heard earthworks before, don't
take this as a measure of what they can do. My unfamiliarity with the D8's
headphone amp prevented me from making adjustments... |
