The mics were run XY at 90 degrees, and the stand was somewhere between 7 and 8 feet high. This was a very small venue, holding only 230 people. There were two other taping rigs on the balcony directly above and slightly behind me, but I was the only rig down on the floor. The transformers used between the PS-2 and mod SBM-1 have a rating of 600:30k ohms. They are RadioShack transformers, and provide 10.2 dB gain when used with my recording equipment. They were used because I don't own a pre-amp yet. The mod SBM-1 has been modified by Doug Oade, and is his complete line stage rebuild modification. |
