Piece of My Heart Musicians: Janis Joplin - vocals Sam Andrew - guitar Brad Cambell - bass Richard Kermode - organ Terry Hensley - trumpet Terry Clements - tenor sax Roy Markowitz - drums Cornelius "Snooky" Flowers - baritone sax --------------------------------- Notes from MichaelLNorris: I did a couple hours of research on this show, so I'm confident that I have the correct info here. This might be a copy of the liberated bootleg "Summertime," I don't know. It is the same show, anyway. Either way, it is sweet, and it is the complete show. A lot of people on their lists indicate that it is Janis with the Full Tilt Boogie Band, but that is incorrect. She is with her Kozmic Blues Band. Many people also have the date as 4-1-69, because that is what the liberated bootleg says, but that is wrong too (on April 1st, she was in Stockholm taping a television show). This concert was definately April 11th. I could only find one defect in this show: In track 4 (Try), at 4:12, there is a "bump," for lack of a better word. Maybe it is an extremely brief silent spot. |
