J-Card Comment | This is the COMPLETE 4/22/78 show with One Love....From the guy I got this from: "The show i have is a made up of two/three different sources.? I got it from a buddy of mine, who has a very extensive collection of Marley.? The reason I know this is One Love from this show, and not another, other than the fact that the person i got it from is a very trust[worthy] person in the Marley world, is he put it together from two incomplete sources.? One Love is not as quality as the songs before or after it, but that's because it's from another source, the only source he could find with One Love on it.? There is a seemless flow between Jammin' and One Love, clapping is consistent, despite being two seperate sources.? That's because my buddy sat down and made the cuts himself, making sure that it was as seemless a change as possible.? The One Love recording gets cut pretty fast at the end, and that's why there is no such seemless transition into Jah Live.? So that's that."? |

Comment | This was Bob's first show back in Jamaica after the attempt on his life in December 1976. The original Wailers reunited for the show. During the song "Jammin'", Bob called up the Prime Minister, Michael Manley, and the opposition party leader, Edward Seaga, to join hands and show their faith in the peace. After a few moments of waiting, they joined hands with Bob and sang "One Love".
Lineup: Dennis Brown, Ras Michael & the Sons of Negus, Big Youth, Peter Tosh, Leroy Smart and Ron Wood |
