Comment | ?? COMMENTS: An interesting Byrds set list, incorporating music from all of the Byrds albums to date. There are also photos in existence, shot by a teenage Chrissie Oakes long before she started "Full Circle," her Byrds fanzine. This tape is often labeled July 6, 1968, but the editors, with the help of Byrds expert Bill Wasserzieher (who based his information from conversations with Chrissie Oakes), have determined that the May 6 date is more likely correct. Johnny Rogan, in "Timeless Flight," says the show took place circa May 13: "The following night (after the May 11 Middle Earth performance) they appeared at Blaises, the club where Lennon and Harrison had watched them during the 1965 tour. A third London show, at the Roundhouse, featured a similar set, with the surprise inclusion of 'Space Odyssey.'" (Timeless Flight Revisited, hardbound, page 258.)
