The processes I took are as follows: 1) Amplified both discs 175% across the board. 2) Sampled a section of silence to obtain a decent noise floor sample (25,000 sample points used). 3) Applied this sample against both discs at 64 percent. 4) Applied a graphic equalizer to boost the high and low spectrums (specifically between 600 - 800 Hz and 8k & 10 kHz). ***Note: I cut everything above 11 kHz 18dB because nothing existed above that freq. range on the original recording. * I've also included the EAC logs from my initial DAE (the files that have the .eac extension) * If you have any additional question, please let me know: mikew@etree.org -----Original Message----- From: Rob Robinson [mailto:heybat@hotmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, September 21, 1999 2:03 PM To: smegs@onelist.com Subject: [Sugarmegs] 84.12.1 on Sugarmegs From: "Rob Robinson" <heybat@hotmail.com> I just found a directory on Sugarmegs that claimed to be 12.1.84 (The first show as Phish and first @ Nectar's.) I already had this show, but there were too many files for the setlist as I knew it, so I pulled it. To my surprise, the directory contains a better copy of that show than I have before (and more complete.) The setlist at HPB is also updated from the version I use as a reference. This is what I think I found: D1T1 through D2T2 are 12.1.84. D2T3 through D2T11 (I think) 10.17.85 (Finbar's)! Mike's song is introduced by Trey as "Microdot" and the end of the show (Antelope and McGrupps) all match the HPB setlist. Does anyone know who encoded and/or upped this show? Does anyone have any other information? Does anyone disagree that the 2nd part is not 10.17.85? I'd like to confer w/ the community before I burn the mp3s as such, then look like an ass because I jumped to the wrong conclusion. CommentSome fans have labeled the show-opening jam a “Star Trek Jam.”

At this show, Mike’s Song was introduced as “Microdot”. Note that this setlist, listed here as set I, may be for either or both sets I and II.
