| Tech Note | ---Recording & Mixing: NashPhil--- Soundboard > Benchmark AD2K+ > Digigram VX-Pocket V2 > Sound Forge 5.0 > 24bit/48k PCM.WAV > Sony Vaio PCG-C1VSX/K ---Mastering/Notes: NashPhil--- 24bit/48k PCM.WAV > 16bit/44.1k > CDR/SHN Resampled, dithered, & edited using Sonic Foundry Sound Forge 5.0 Mixed on Soundboard in seperate mix, using all board channels plus Mid-Side Matrix placed on stage center. Stage mics were combo of (2) AKG C-1000, and 3 Shure SM-57 plus a D.I. for Richard Smith. The mics used for the Mid-Side Matrix were Schoeps CMC6/MK4 + Audio Technica 4050 in figure 8 pattern. I mixed the instruments to the side of the stage they were on. The 3 guitars were Richard - Left, Van - Right Center Jerry - Right The mix is pretty even all the way through, although Richard is the loudest in the mix. The other 2 guitars were using stage mics, making it difficult to bring them into the mix at adequate levels. All in all, it sounds terrific. |
