Widespread Panic, Davidson College SAE House, Davidson, NC
Taper = Scott Goodwin. Dump to wav, shn, and CDR = Scott Goodwin.
Second of two sets. First set not recorded by anyone. Trust me.
Yes, I know Everyday Companion states this was not the case, but I was there,
and this is the second set. We paid the band $2000 for the evening, and
we got our money's worth. The setlist is as it appears on these CDs, as it
was on the master cassette. Everyday is *wrong* : * ) Source: 8-Track SBD
> Stereo outs (RCA) > Nakamichi BX100 / TDK MA110 / Dolby B. Playback for
wav extraction = Same deck > Toshiba 2595CDT / CoolEdit2000. Track segmenting
on CoolEdit. Sorry if this is a poor way to segment, but I got no sonic
artifacts from it and *assume* (yes, I know, never assume) that segmenting is
accomplished on sector boundaries in CoolEdit. If you know this to be untrue,
please let me know. Burn to audio CDR using Adaptec EasyCD > Ricoh 6200 CDRW \
(SCSI). Shn Files were created from CoolEdit wavs and burned to CD using EasyCD
and Ricoh 6200 (no EAC). Further duplication for original B & P seeding done
using EasyCD on the Toshiba or Toast on an iMac 233 Rev A > (USB-to-SCSI) Ricoh
6200MP CDRW. Md5 files were not created for the first distribution of these
recordings as all CDs created were made from original wavs without EAC. I'm not
enough of a 'Spreadhead to provide a competent setlist, so you're on your own on
that one, kids. The master is a little rough in terms of cuts, flips, etc., but
I'll remind you that I was in the middle of hosting the "First Night Back" party
at SAE my senior year at college, and there were well over 400 people in the
house. Guitars were not run through a soundboard but rather amped on stage, so
the mix is a little funky. You people should count your lucky stars *anyone*
there was able to even operate a cassette deck, let alone leave the party at the
set break to go get one, find a metal 110 blank and hook it up...
Enjoy.
