Recording/Show Notes:
This obviously is an incomplete recording. Capturing only 32 min of the 55 minute sound check. Upon hearing the sound check starting I walked to the front edge of the parking lot. When I got there it was about 10 minutes into the sound check. A large group had already gathered there. I saw one lone taper in the crowd at the edge of the lot. I talked to him and asked if I could patch my deck in. Only problem was I left my deck in my tent. He said it was fine by him. I ran back to my tent and grabbed my Sony D6 analog deck. By the time I got back to the front of the lot approximately 25 minutes had passed. Which is where this recording begins. The taper who was running the rig got there about 10 min into the sound check. So as far as I know no complete copy has ever surfaced of this sound check. A more detailed attempt at transcribing a set list can be found in The Phishing Companion.

I have waited 5 ? years for another source to surface from this sound check. So far none has ever come to light. Even the taper from whom I patched has not been located to present what he had captured. If you are out there please email me so we can get more of this great event circulating. There are many factors to think about when listening to this source. We were at least 1 mile from the stage at the edge of the parking lot. The shotguns do a decent job of capturing what went down. You will hear those who were witnessing the event as well as the music. I present this recording as a document of what I personally feel was one of the greatest Phish moments in my 10 years of seeing the band.

I have tracked this recording into 2 tracks as there is an obvious change in songs. If someone is able to transcribe and break down into more tracks, please email me so I can get a copy and amend this text file. I hope you all enjoy this piece of Phish history.
