J-Card CommentGrateful Dead 04/05/93 Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum - Uniondale, NY **Only set-1 is contained in these files, hopefully the second set will turn up someday** Source: DAUD/FOB Schoeps mk21(ORTF) > KC5 actives > CMC5 > Sonosax SX-M2 > Sony D10 @48kHz Master (from D10) used in below transfer Conversion: R500 > Canare Coax > Sek'd Prodif Plus > Soundforge 5.0 (fade in/out/edits/48>44.1 at highest setting[4of4] with anti-alias filter) > CD Wave > SHNv3 via Monkey's/md5sum.exe (shn files have seek tables appended) **No DAE at all** Transfer was done twice, then inverted over itself to determine transfer errors. No errors were present or the errors that were present were inaudible and due to differing error correction on the DAT playbacks not transfer errors. Detailed info: This recording was done on a stand in Row 14 (aka DFC!). Minor Edits: Fades in/out beg/end of set--5 sec i/o A dropout on the master (2 frames long) was removed in the crowd noise between Tom Thumb and B.T. Wind--no music was disturbed. At 30:29.10 -> 30:29.12 in the unedited 48k file. Edit done at 48k so there are both unedited and edited 48k archives. Taper: Someone else using Eliot Byron's gear Huge thanks to Eliot who supplied the DATs for this transfer! Transferred and uploaded by Jim Raras <jraras@yahoo.com> via Dankseeds Please contact me with questions etc. There are also 48k shn's of this seed for archival. ___________________________________________________________________________ *Dankseed Certification received 2002-04-08* and posted at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/dankseeds/files/gd1993-04-05.mk21-fob Listening test performed by *5* danksters positive criteria met: Tracking- OK Seamless and complete- OK Lineage listed- OK negative criteria met: DAE- NO Resampled- NO Diginoise- NO ___________________________________________________________________________ Disc 1 / Set I 01:02:59 01.
