Comments: History: SBD (analog master) -> DAT(44.1kHz) -> coax digi cable -> Philips Consumer CDR 765 -> EAC (Secure) -> Wav Edit (See Below) -> CDRWin -> CDR(M) > CDR This 30 minute gig was taped in front of a small audience in London and broadcast on the BBC radio "In Concert" series on October 3, 1981. I took this show direct digital from DAT, which was recorded from an analog master. A really clean, clear sound on this. There is a soft hiss in the background during the quiet times, but it's barely audible. A great energetic, punk version of "With A Shout" is a definite highlight. Here's the wav editing that was performed (32 bit): * Normalization to 100% * Added Fade In/Out * Seamless editing of a couple gaps using crowd noise (no fades during show) * Track sequencing with cuesheets and put to cd-r with CDRWin (No audible track changes) That's about all that was needed. This is a very cool early show, and a huge improvement over the flat, lo-fi version of this show that can be found on the disc "The Lost Broadcasts Vol. 2". Comments courtesy of Steve Vahey. |
