Kaleidoscope played all 5 days! ::: KQED-TV filmed Kaleidoscope@this 5 day fest for "Summer Sampler-Folk music&rock'n'roll from the Berkeley campus"show, broadcast 1967-08-11 (Bruno). ::: This set purportedly NOT KQED-TV sourced but likely same show as Red Crayola Drag City CD "July 4 Jubilee Concert broadcast on KQED radio". ::: The Kaleidoscope's debut album, "Side Trips" was issued in May 1967. Recording Information ::: unknown mono reel-to-reel recorder & microphone -> master mono reel audience tape -> ? -> CD-R -> Echinops 2020-01-04 upload flacs. Remastering 2020-01-05 ::: flacs -> Audacity [normalisation to remove DC offset, fades, manual one-at-a-time glitch, bump, clap, pop, click, dropout & dullspot repairs, volume adjustments ,#01 -1% pitch (speed) fix with single pass after frequency analysis & with pitchpipe verification (#02-04 left speed alone), NO equalisation or noise reduction] -> CD Wave (track splits) -> flacs (Trader's Little Helper) -> yr ears. (FURTHER remastering notes: #01 8sec gap & #03 overlap gap now both seamlessly spliced. Used ONLY left channel after remastering/cross channel patches as it had higher frequency response & stabilised the sound). |
