Notes:
The Meter Men are The Meters [Joseph 'Zigaboo' Modeliste (drums &amp; vocals), Leo Nocentelli (guitar &amp; vocals) and George Porter, Jr (bass &amp; vocals)] with Page McConnell from Phish (keys &amp; vocals) filling in for the semi-retired Art Neville. This set was part of an all-day music fest in Downtown Tampa that also featured Dr. Dog, Black Joe Lewis &amp; The Honeybears, Ozomatli, Dawes, The Iguanas and many more. The fest had a 'no audio or video recording' policy in place, so this recording was done low-profile. As a result, the sound is decent but not as good as it could have been had open taping been allowed. That being said, I didn't see any other tapers and the performance by this collection of funk &amp; jam legends is too good not to share. Enjoy!
