The FMR at a good session.  They were in great form that night and the crowd noise was not yet tooloud so it was recorded well.  I am getting a mic stand so that the mic will be well above the heads of the folks in the audience.

It was a full moon, the band was in full swing and we all rocked on.  Recorded through a SONY ECM-MS957 mic to a SONY MZ-RH1 in LPCM mode, uploaded digitally to the PC, tracks entered in the WAV file,  this was then converted to FLAC level 6 and RG added.  It can be removed by those who wish.  I would use foobar2000 to do that.

Freak Mountain at the Laurelthirst Pub: legendary! This is a group/cult/family event. The regulars in the audience have been doing this for decades. Some of these folks in the band were with the Holy Modal Rounders. It is a loose group with Michael Hurley sitting in sometimes and other times not. The music is stellar, the crowd is positive and orderly and pleasant while being throughly into it at the same time. Serious music and a serious audience.

2007-02-11 6:00 until 8:00 was actually 6:30 to about 8:30. There is just about a full two hours worth of music here.

The mic was about 11' up and about the same distance from the bandstand. It is hard to get closer as the space in between is a dance floor and passageway between the front and back rooms, the john and the pool table. It was a great night. Enjoy!

not run out of power while recording. Together with the internal LIion this rig has been estimated to be able to burn 20 Hi-MD's.

	Just another great jam of a great group at the ever-so-friendly Laurelthirst Pub. Mic'ing emphasizes instruments over vocals. It was just an experiment at close-in mic'ing; did not work well. But the music is just great.

Put it in the machine, turn it up, sit back and relax!

FMR in Church again.  This night was hot!  I was sure it was a full moon on th 25th, but I was wrong.  The band was smokin' and the crowd was really appreciastive, which got the band going better, which got the crowd going more which got . . . 

These fellows are great musicians and very popular in Stumptown (Portland, OR) and around.  This is the best I have heard them.  Set 2 is especially good and Lex's Crossroads is enough to scare Clapton (third from last in second set).  Lots of good tracks so get both sets.
