Pearl Jam Robin Hood Benefit Beacon Theatre New York,NY July 1, 2008 This is the private benefit show that Pearl Jam did in behalf of the Robin Hood Foundation at the Beacon Theatre. The essence of Robin Hood's anti-poverty mission targets Early Childhood & Youth, Education, Jobs & Economic Security & Survival. A very worthwhile charitable cause, I beg to ask those who download this recording to donate whatever they can afford. Just go to www.RobinHood.org. I donated $500 per seat for two seats, I'm hoping each of you will give at least ten dollars, or whatever you can afford. Pearl Jam will not be releasing this show amongst it's own "official" bootleg series. This may well be the only audience recording. Two years ago when I recorded the Rolling Stones I made a similar request of you all and you gave in great numbers. Thank you for coming through then, and thanking you in advance for what I hope you give again. This was the most successful night in the 76 year history of the Beacon Theater, raising over $3 million dollars, all of which go to the Robin Hood cause. Please keep the cause going and give generously. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Mostly recorded From The Second to Last Row, Center, Of The Orchestra. I tried moving up when the show started but by the third song was back in my original seat ... at these charity benefit prices, there wasn't an open seat to be had. A little boomy in the back, it is under the overhang, and you can hear all the crowd chatter,' nothing I could do about any of that ... nonetheless still a very listenable and enjoyable recording. Unfortunately my battery died during the intermission between the 1st and 2nd encores. Sadly, I did not realize this until after I missed two songs. Fortunately, I had a spare battery with me to capture the remainder of the show. Hope you all enjoy this recording as much as I do. PLAY IT AS LOUDLY AS YOU CAN!!! Please let me know what you think. And most importantly, share it freely with your loved ones and friends. May those who try to sell or otherwise profit from my recording be cursed with all the bad karma that you justly deserve. -TA ------------------------------------------------------------------- CD 1 Intro Lowlight Elderly Woman Behind the Counter in a Small Town Sleight of Hand Harvest Moon ** Masters of War Down All Night ** Corduroy Even Flow Light Years Army Reserve ** W.M.A. ** Marker in the Sand ** CD 2 Wasted Life -> Wishlist Why Go Do the Evolution Encore 1: Undone Who You Are ** Given To Fly Black Crazy Mary Encore 2: No More (Missing) Last Kiss (Missing) Alive Baba O'Riley ** = with guest vocalists Fonzi Thorton, Arif St. Michael, Vaneese Thomas
