Steve Reich Holland Festival, 1979 Conductors - Reinbert De Leeuw & Steve Reich Narrator - Paul Holmes Fans of "trance" music (not to be confused with the popular dance music genre of the same name) are in for a treat. Those unfamiliar with Mr. Reich's work have here a crash course in it. This program is from a Radio Nederland 7.5 IPS (19 CMPS) 1/4-inch reel-to-reel tape. Despite the fact that it's a dupe (not a master), meant for distribution to radio stations and that it's 29 years old, it doesn't sound too bad at all. The analytical narrations which occur before each track have been separated so that you can listen to the performance either with or without them. (You might not want to drive or operate machinery while listening to this program).
