Jefferson Starship Sheep Meadow Central Park 1975-05-12 FM Reel Master (real-time transfer) **Please include info file with postings to other groups** Here at last is the ubiquitous Starship concert in its most complete form. The only thing missing is the very end of Volunteers, otherwise the show is totally complete as it happened. It was taped directly off the air at 7.5ips on Scotch reels. The tracks labeled "Off The Trees" are rants by the group, who were being egged on by the New York Park Police to get the fans out of the trees. Depending upon how you look at it, it's either a drag to the concert, or hysterically funny. Grace is in rare form. She sounds sharp, alert, and on edge. Her voice, although just starting to go, is still strong and powerful. An mp3 sample will make it into the comments section. No noise reduction or other manipulation was performed, except for having to lower the volume for a few fractions of a second due to airplanes flying over the house (is that prophetic, or what????) while the taping was going on.
