Version #4 - SBD+AUD DTS-Audio-CD 5.1 Surround Sound The AUD recording punches at zero consistently throughout the recording. Or it did and then someone dropped the levels by 1 or 2db. This recording tiptoes along the edge of distortion but I don\'t think it really becomes a problem. However, the extreme levels (or post production hard limiting) on this recording has really reduced the dynamic range. On the plus side it does have a really \"in-your-face\" sound quality. There were between song edits after Yamar, Antelope and Waste on the SBD source. The AUD recording was trimmed to match and a variety of edits (fades, crossfades and level adjustments) were performed to make this transitions as smooth as possible. They were a bit too quick to make this completely inaudible. There were several pops throughout the SBD recording. The kind that may have slipped by unnoticed unless you were knee deep into the recoding on an editing program like I was. I did my best to locate and remove most or all of these. SBD source was a bit low, I raised the levels approx +2db. AUD source was a bit high, I lowered the levels approx -1.5db. In my experience consistently louder levels in the rear channels is an undesirable effect. --------------------------------------------------------- Additional Formats This show is available in the following formats: 1. The straight Pre-FM SBD and Microtech Geffel M300 AUD 2. SBD + AUD Matrix Mix at 16/44 CD-Audio 3. SBD + AUD Matrix Mix at 24/96 DVD-Audio 4. SBD + AUD DTS-Audio-CD 5.1 Surround Sound 5. SBD + AUD DVD-Audio 5.1 Surround Sound --------------------------------------------------------- More On DTS Today\'s audio standards are moving towards multi-channel sound, like DTS and Dolby Digital. While the Audio-CD standard (Red Book) hasn\'t changed to accommodate these new sound formats, it is still possible to go around the specification and to put a 5.1 surround recording on a regular Audio-CD. To play a DTS-Audio-CD you must connect your DVD/CD player via a digital cable (optical or coaxial) to your DTS Dolby-Digital receiver. It is not 100% sure that your receiver will recognize a DTS-Audio-CD, so the first time you\'re trying to playback a DTS-Audio-CD you must do a test to determine if it can. Begin with the volume very low, start the disc and rise the volume gradually. NEVER listen to a DTS-Audio-CD through the analogue audio outputs of your CD/DVD player. Burning Instructions Burn them the absolute same way as you would burn any normal Audio-CD from FLAC files. --------------------------------------------------------- FLAC fingerprint phish1996-11-02-dts-t01.flac:95b943debef66b1b1659a428fc278346 phish1996-11-02-dts-t02.flac:ba3c124c308c2d05e463d3745a535226 phish1996-11-02-dts-t03.flac:6f88c9f690a9d60eb90a76fa4bb1ee64 phish1996-11-02-dts-t04.flac:3dec082ac107eb07920679ecf6e81c97 phish1996-11-02-dts-t05.flac:3d550d494d613f3740711041d5966fcd phish1996-11-02-dts-t06.flac:71205b20b03478e7ca233f88e0fad039
