'Groundation is a California avant- reggae big band on a mission to integrate the modern sound with the roots sensibility of the past' says Stephen Davis (author of Bob Marley bio). Lyrically poignant, musically mesmerizing. Their new cd found Don Carlos (Black Uhuru) and Apple Gabriel (Israel Vibration) united for the first time in reggae history. Groundation has been nominated for Germany's coveted World Music Award, and performed to packed stadiums in Europe.
