MacGregor was the first act to perform at a show held to determine what local band
(with at least one member going to the University of Maryland at College Park) would
open for the headliners of Art Attack, an annual concert that brings well known groups
to campus.  I arrived a little late, missing the first song, "Saddle Up," and the
beginning of the second song.  Of the five competing bands, MacGregor received the
most votes to win the competition and to perform May 3 at Byrd Stadium.
