Notes on Garaj Mahal @ Harlow's Supper Club, SAC. CA, 1-12-06
Recording gear used:
Stage mic: Crown SASS P Mk 2 stereo condenser PZM (pressure zone microphone).
PA mics: Crown CM-700 cardioid condenser microphones, 1 per PA left & right.
The PA mics were mounted to the speakers on booms clamped to each speaker.
Mixer: Shure FP 42 (PA mics only).
Recording device: Sonic Devices 744T (24/48) (stage mic pre-amp as well).
Transfer: firewire>laptop>audacity>Sam7.2(24/48>16/44.1+all edits).
Taper's note:
In the beginning of the 1st set, I was not near the stage when they began to play.
I believed that my recording device, which has a 10 sec. pre-roll function which I
had enabled, would cover the less than 10 secs. that it took me to reach the on
button. Alas, it didn't. There was one other taper there, but I didn't get his
contact info before I left, and haven't been able to track him down yet. Mea culpa.
