Smokin' toast from the mighty toaster. Generally a very respectable and respecting audience. Pin drop quiet in many places. Sounds killer! There's some kind of loud clap or tap or (yikes) pop at about 66:40 in the second set. ??? Don't know what it was, but I rendered it virtually inaudible with a little sample level editing action... Also, in order to prove to a patching taper that he was getting signal before the second set started, I cranked the right channel on the V2 for a couple of seconds and cranked it back down just in time before the 1st tune of set 2 started. Fortunately, this right channel level anomaly affected Rodney's drumstick count-off, but not the actual tune. I spent some time correcting it, rendering it almost totally inaudible. There were a couple of deadspots in level when I did the level cranking, which resulted in two teeny tiny sections of 100 samples or less of almost pure DC with no signal. They are listed as follows: Could not be corrected after fixing right channel level anomaly 00:03:45:13 00:03:45:13 00:00:00:00 Could not be corrected after fixing right channel level anomaly 00:03:44:17 00:03:44:17 00:00:00:00 You'd have to have one kickass ear to hear any of this ever happened after I fixed it, but other tapes that might circulate from my source will probably have this anomaly, unless someone else did as good a job in repairing it as I have, as I consider it completely undetectable unless playback is cranked to 110dB, and even then, it's meaningless and again, before the music really starts. It is visible in Sound Forge though.
