nassau73 NOTES:
--Here's most of set 2 and all of set 3 from the pool party at the Maui Coast Hotel.
--The party was happening all afternoon. But due to my late arrival following jury duty and other personal commitments, we weren't able to walk down to the hotel until sometime between 5 and 5:30pm and had to leave before the final set.  As we approached, we could hear the music already playing. So I started up the recorder as we walked into the pool area. You'll hear, "In The Pines" starting out really low until we finally got into a spot in the crowd.
--The "show" was really poolside. Regular hotel guests were playing in the pool less than 3 feet away while the DNB crowd was having drinks and circulating around the area while the band was playing. The band itself was seated on folding chairs against a wall.
--During the show, people kept pushing me out of their way and I had to move to different spaces throughout which resulted in some different sound levels in the recording at various times.

RECORDING NOTES:
--This mini disc recording was originally seeded at bt.etree in 2009 in a native 16/44.1 format.
--For this release, it's been upscaled to 24/48 and has been remastered as best as possible to balance out the level differentials mentioned, patch some of the dropouts as well as attenuate too loud crowd noise right next to the mics. Listening back to this, for me, it's an improvement over what I've been listening to over the years.
--One last comment, the exuberance that everyone in the audience had when Vince Herman sang the "First Part of Dubya" is almost pleasantly nostalgic compared to what we went through after 2016.

So, take it if you need it, if you don't just pass it on.
