- *w/ Dave McMurray on Tenor Sax.  For most of the second set, he was laying out or playing with the Wolfpack.  He had feature solos on Loser, Wang Dang Doodle, and Stella Blue.
- Recorded from main floor, center of the second railing.
- For the past few weeks, I've been saying the Detroit show was going to be wild, and it did not disappoint.  There are some very unusual arrangements in here.  Bob was directing traffic all night, and the whole band seemed particularly fired up.

- This was one of those shows that made me do some reminiscing.  Almost every show, I think to myself something along the lines of: "Once again, Bobby's life path and mine have placed us in the same room at the same time." The day Jerry died, I really wasn't sure we were going to be able to continue this kind of music.  That was over half a lifetime ago.  I've seen Bob 159 times now, more than almost any other musician, and 86 of those have been since the end of the Grateful Dead.  I am thankful and overjoyed that we still get to do this, and I can't take any of it for granted.  Bob looks younger and healthier in his 70s than Jerry did in his 50s, so hopefully the fates will have many more opportunities to place us in the same room at the same time.
