This recording was made in April 1971 in a cabin in Gatlinburg, TN.

It was recorded by a high schooler at the time, Gerry Groom, one of Duane's Protégés.  Duane once told Gregg that if anything were to happen to him, to give his SG to Gerry.  Here's a picture of Gerry playing the SG at Duane's Grave: https://imgur.com/a/nCRi5OL

Gerry later died and the Gatlinburg cassette was found in his belonging by Richard "Hombre" Price.  Richard jammed with Duane, Berry, and Dickey in Jacksonville.  He was part of the "Jam Period" of the Second Coming.

The cassette was later purchased from Richard in 2021 by Andy Van Noy for $250. This transfer was done by running a Technics cassette player directly into the line in port on Andy's PC. The audio has been enhanced in RX Studio.

Notes:
-This cassette is likely a first generation transfer that Gerry made sometime in the 80's.
Apparently the original cassette broke, and we are unsure if Gerry copied the tape or took the tape from the original cassette and moved it into a new body.  Either way, this is the best it gets.

-The handwriting on the cassette "Very Special Moments - Duane & Bros" is confirmed to be Gerry's
