Transfer:  TDK D90 cassette masters played on Marantz PMD510 (pitch adjusted) > Whirlwind PC-DI > Sound Devices 722 (@ 24/96) > firewire to Powerbook G4 > Spark XL 2.82 used for dither, re-sample to 16/44.1, editing & tracking > flac (xACT level 8)

xACT (flac > wav) > Audiogate (re-assemble into tape sides) > Logic Pro (EQ) > Audiogate (insert fills, tracking) > xACT (flac 8 w/ SBA & tags)

Not the most amazing recording (due mostly to the auto level set on the deck), but it is a MASTER!  This version has been EQ'd to sound a bit more normal (boost some bass, lose some mids & high-mids), it's much better now!

I'm told by Fierce (the taper) that the only other rig at this show (the one that commonly circulates) was a Sony stereo mic (not mini) & probably a Marantz PMD 430 cassette..?

This was my 1st Phish show ($6 to get in).  There are 2 circulating recordings and both have their flaws...this master cassette needed EQ & was missing all of Buried Alive & most of Coil (along with a bit at the tape flip in Divided Sky), so fills from the other source are used to complete the show.  This is "V2".

HUGE thanks to Fierce for taping & keeping the archives in good order so that these masters can be shared!

Another quarantine-driven project...
