This is the first time I've seen a show at this venue. VFW Post 3850 is located in a main residential area and directly on the beach. The stage is located just a hundred yards or so from the ocean but is sheltered from the ocean breezes (winds).

During the piped in music before the show, I located the "sweet spot" to hear the show. Unfortunately, the "sweet spot" was about 30 feet from the stage and in front of an overhang. It seemed as if everyone who hung out under that overhang wanted to talk instead of listen to the music. As aresult, set 1 has quite a bit of chatter.

For set 2, I set up 2 feet from dead center in front of the stage and thankfully, no chatter.

Look up the website for VFW Post 3850 and watch the flyover video to see what a wonderful place this is for a show. Also, because this venue is a residential neighborhood, the show had a strict curfew of 9:30 pm.

Other than that, it was a great show and a treat once again to have a band like JGB play here on Maui.
